Children of Sodom
Oko and Kojo are two of over 30.000 children living amidst the garbage mountains of Ghana’s capital Accra. They earn their meals by searching for valuable metall pieces which brings them in contact with toxic elements. Despite the tremendous hardships of their lives and work they try to preserve a small rest of the joy of childhood by playing football, doing acrobatics on the beach or watching television.
The film’s fascinating and touching pictures have been left uncommented thus allowing the audience to emerge deeper into the universe they evoke – a universe, which is closely connected with our everyday life.
